01:12 pm - much better now, thankyou... ...possibly due to the banana & peanut butter milkshake I had for brekie this morning (new invention- I am genius), but more likely due to the hugs :D

ps. The phone lives!!! Although I'm not sure how keen I am to hold something to my face that has been coated in wee wee. Bummer.

02:17 pm - I need hugs :( So. I'm feeling really tired and stressed out about my upcoming exam, the general crappiness of the whole thing as well as the utter lack of support form my boss. But I like a challenge, and will probably do ok in the end.
Then today everything seems to be going wrong at work, our monthly meeting seemed to be a catalogue of errors- most of which were mine, and nobody had thought to mention these to me beforehand, so I was on the spot to explain myself and struggle to even remember the incidents. Bastards. But I was still just about coping.
Then the bloke from the garage calls and says how much my car will cost to fix, and that sucks, but I am strong and suck it up and deal.
And then I drop my phone down the toilet. And now I have had enough and I want to go home and everything sucks and I hate everybody and I really really really really don't care anymore.
x
ps. I hadn't flushed yet. And I had to reach in and get it. And now it doesn't work at all.

10:16 pm - Trowbridge Festival... hooray! Hmmm.... Trowbridge Festival? Never heard of it huh... well that's where I grew up, and I'd never heard of it either till last year when someone from down here in Brighton mentioned that they were going.
Anyway, ended up dragging the beardy one (that's Del by the way, not Sam- how mean of you for thinking that!), and we had a fair old time.
Enjoyably, it's a beer festival too... so I was more than happy :)
I won't bore you with the details, but much fun was had, good music, lots of sun and swimming in the river!!
Unfortunately I was far too unsober to take any photos heehee!
this should work now!!

Yes, he is very very cute. Yes, he does appear near invisible when sitting on this chair. Yes, white fur is a bitch to clean off your furniture, clothes, food etc

07:32 pm - the things we do for charity...
It was all Ann's fault. We were sitting in the staff room, each munching on one of the doughnuts that the boss had brought in to celebrate his birthday, and having finished hers she announced that she could eat at least 5 more. Well, says I, go on then!
From there on in the first Microbiology Doughnut Eating Contest snowballed into action! The boss donated the doughnuts, plastic buckets for 'rejected' jammy goodness, and told us that he would be very suspicious of anybody phoning in sick the next day.
So there we were, five brave souls, willing to risk our very health and sanity in the name of Comic Relief. As many doughnuts as you can shove down you neck in 5 minutes, with each ball of suggary goodness sponsred by our cheering colleagues.
After much chewing, choking, near-vomit experiences, laughing, more choking, complaining .... and belching.... we made it through!
I, to my disgust, managed to eat 6... but the clear winner (Matt- below) ate 9 whole jam doughnuts in 5 minutes. Gross. Oh yeah... we raised £360 for Comic Releif... woo hoo!

01:07 am - I bring you pictures!
Hooray for photos!
Naomi showed me flickr.com, very cool! Uploaded some of the pics from my trip to visit Danielle in Maine 2003, then I was told that I had reached my limit for the month... arse.
The good news is that my brain has not melted from the 6hrs I have just spent sorting through my MP3s, you know getting rid of all the ones that make the horrible screeching moise half way through... and finding out what the hell some of them actually were... great stuff.
Am I forgetting anything? Oh yes.... Hooorrrrrayyy for Wales beating the scumy Frenchies at the rugger... Raaaahh!
Hmmm... bed time I think, nighty night!

February 10th, 2005
12:37 pm Urrgh... I am ill, again. I had just gotten over a stinking cold, throughout which I was very brave and went to work and tried to ignore it. Now I have something worse and my head hurts and my chest is sore and my throat hurts and my nose is runny...waaaah! I have had enough of being a good patient, now I think it is time to complain... loudly! Grrr.... joining me in my misery are Naomi and Sophie, so that gives me someone to blame at least. Also, I have just used up my last tissue, and cannot be bothered to get out of bed to get another box, so I intend to recycle the old crusty ones on the floor, and when they run out I have two whole sleeves and a duvet.
Damn all you healthy type people!
Other news:
 Are you sick too?
PS. had nice dinner with Dan and Mike... hope you are not lurgy-ficated today! Current Mood: sticky, icky and lame

09:06 pm - Dirty Weekend :) Aha! We are returned from our adventure to the unknown wilderness of the north. Um... whatever. Abingdon & Oxford was a lot of fun as the_ladylark doth indeed describe. However, these is one thing that she missed out: Whilst a room situated over a working water-wheel is very cool, it also makes you need to piss at least 3 times during the night.
I'm actually still feeling a bit upset about the baby pigeon incident. We saw him fall out of his nest above a shop across the road, and then he flopped off the pavement coz the people were scaring him. He started to move out into the oncoming traffic, so I went and stopped the cars from smooshing him. I tried to persuade him to go back onto the pavement, but all he seemed to want to do was cuddle up to my boot. Eventually we got him off the road, but there was nothing else I could do so we just left him there. I feel really bad about it, and I just know that he was squished by something after we left. He didn't even have any proper feathers or anything.... I know people think that pigeons are vermin, but I think they are lovely. Current Mood: sad
